Are you an aspiring documentary filmmaker between 16-25 years old? Are you looking to kickstart or further your filmmaking career? Step2TV and BFI have an exciting opportunity for emerging documentary talent. You can gain £500 funding towards producing your documentary idea, mentoring by industry experts and worldwide exposure. We are looking for four upcoming filmmakers passionate about factual film interested to bring unique stories to light. Step2TV will provide an intensive mentoring weekend at Ealing Film Studios that will consist of developing your ideas and preparation to produce your short documentary film (under ten minutes long). You will also gain invaluable advice from TV development expert the TV Mole (Nicola Lees) who has developed hundreds of factual programmes for network and cable channels in the UK and USA, including the BBC, Discovery Channel, Travel Channel and TLC.
